Indigenous Political Resistance in Canada: an Integrated Media Analysis
This course provides a theoretical analysis of the historical foundations of contemporary sites of Indigenous resistance in Canada. The course integrates print journalism, web-based media, documentary videos, and media theory in relation to Indigenous knowledge. Topics include Indigenous political resistance in relation to treaties, Indigenous rights, and Canadian policy and administration as understood in the context of their mediated forms.
