World View and Knowledge in Ancient Greek Philosophy
This course examines ancient Greek views on the nature of reality and how we can come to know it. Through a consideration of the views of the pre-Socratic philosophers, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and others, the course explores the world view of the ancient Greeks and the connections they drew between our ability to acquire knowledge and the state of our soul. PREREQ: 18 university credits. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both PHIL 2307 and PHIL 2305.
