Mechanical Engineering

Innovation and modernization by applying science and technology toward the development of mechanical systems.

From robots to high-speed trains, meet the needs of society by designing new products and processes.

Become part of an organization of professionals with a rich history at the Bharti School of Engineering. Answer the call to be an engineer and work collectively toward the betterment of society.

Apply your problem-solving skills to diverse areas such as robotics and automation, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and ventilation, biomechanics, transportation, energy production and conversion, and much more.

Learn about dynamic modelling, control algorithm development, engineering materials, manufacturing and mechanical design, microprocessor programming and heat transfer.  Tailor your coursework to specific areas of interest or choose to specialize in the area of mechatronics.

Colin Roos

Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Laurentian University has been pivotal in both my professional and personal development.  The program focuses on open-ended and project-based learning, both in and out of the classroom (i.e. SAE Baja, capstone design project), that lead to having a very competitive, hands-on skill set upon graduation.  Being able to connect with the faculty on a personal and academic level allowed me to gain more than just grades from my experience.  I would highly recommend Laurentian’s engineering program for students that really want to stand out in the job market with hands-on, real-world problem-solving skills.
